ABOUT
The INSL Emerging Scholars are the student committee within the INSL created in 2025 to foster the integration of master’s and doctoral students within the network.
The INSL Emerging Scholars aim to
- strengthen a community of mutual encouragement and solidarity that connects emerging scholars of poetry with the wider network of the INSL
- provide a space for sharing academic information and resources among INSL student members
- encourage inclusive participation and volunteer-driven initiatives
- support the organization of international mobility and research stays through collaboration with the INSL and its members.
Among other activities, the INSL Emerging Researchers regularly organize online meetings, approximately every six weeks:
- Workshops: a space for intellectual exchange and interdisciplinary dialogues about poetry research
- Salons: a space for dialogues about creative projects and thoughts, e.g. reading, writing and translation of poetry
- Forums: a space for debates about different facets of working in academia and conducting research on poetry
The INSL Emerging Researchers also run a Discord server to improve connections and conversations among PhD students, which is also used for sharing relevant information (Calls for Papers, Calls for Applications, etc.). If you would like to join the server or our mailing list, please get in touch at inslstudentcommittee@gmail.com.
